Hi-late day in the office (usually already home listening in my ready chair), get some car grease on my way home soon.
(Like this Grover Washington Jr., He tends to get written off because of his hits)

Went to my first all standing concert last night in NYC since before the pandemic (Yo La Tengo)... Someone remind me the next time someone has tickets to a show in a standing venue to say NO (they were fine, my back, not so much...)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22pm

...hey, Bob, Kim, whomever here (probably everyone) knows more about these things than i do... any clues as to how much $ to try to get for an acetate of Amii Stewart's first recording?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24pm
doctorjazz:

She opened, solo on guitar (nice set). David Sidaris was next (he told Jewish and off color jokes). Then YLT... And next time remind me not to play late on a school night as well...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27pm
KimSorise:

On Ariola - Coel?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm
doctorjazz:

YLT were really good-i have to say, I've never seen them and haven't listened much to the albums except what gets played on FMU-have heard them so the find raising requests for FMU... Had gotten to think of them as a cutsie cover band. And it was a Chanukah show... Maybe thought I'd get Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel... I was really caught off guard. They rocked really hard, Ira Kaplan just tore it up on loud, dissonant guitar. If only they had a singer...

I've been on a roll (having a post COVID binge)... Went to see The Maria Schneider Orchestra last weekend: have Richard Thompson tickets next weekend (it's a bit like what happens when you fall off that diet you were doing great on)... This Omigod variant may throw a wrench into this fun, though...
