hi Irene, thanks for helping to make this gloomy Monday bearable!
  12:04pm
Listener Robert:

A friend has a series of short stories (just 2 published so far) featuring a professor at the U. of Wisc. who uses magick. His domicile is beyond the isthmus, but his magick produces an optical illusion that makes people think it's a peninsula that ends before getting to his little castle. Copy editing it is how I know about The Isthmus.

YETI BOB, I'm familiar with Fareed Haque but not Goran Ivanovic. Will check them out soon. Nice to hear you're hearing us there, alanr! And glad we were part of Michael's first show since the Pandemic, and, Sylvia, your first visit in 2 years! Here's hoping the end of this mess is coming soon.

Of the plethora of things I love about this show is my continual musical education and Shawn Philips is now firmly on my radar. Embarrassed to say I was not familiar to this gentleman until your show Irene, gracias

Sean, no worries about Shawn Phillips. He was never a big star, despite releasing my fine albums. I've bought a bunch of them at record fairs over the years, often fairly cheaply.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 1:07pm
Sean in Bristol UK:

Sylvia, my knees goes wobbly whenever needles are mentioned, huge phobia but this is so worth it. Can’t even watch it on the tv so medical news/dramas are a ‘no go’ zone for me!

Sylvia, this is one of Kevin's two CDs I picked up but very different from what he played last night. Still beautiful.

Does this ever bring back childhood recollections of listening to Scott Muni on NYC's WNEW FM.. He frequently played "Departure / Ride My See-Saw" and "Knights In White Satin".. Same chilly, cloudy nearly late afternoon fall day, suburban Long Island, and listening to the Moodys on my Dad's late 50's/60's all valve Dynaco gear, complete with Dynaco FM tuner.. Sail on Graeme Edge! Lucky to have known you through the analogue medium..

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm

Hey, this day has been fun with Moody Blues swimming in my head. Most of the tunes in this last set Graeme Edge had a hand in writing (the poetry especially, which Mike Pinder read aloud), but certainly the drumming. I'll be back next Monday at noon.
