	5:20pm David Shortell: Watching the 1968 TV movie “Prescription: Murder” (Peter Falk’s first enactment of Frank Columbo; it would be over 3 years before he reprised the role), I was astounded by the differences between it and the series that followed. The crime-jazz musical score, for one thing! Also, how well kempt the character is in his resplendent suit (his trademark trench coat only appears for a few minutes). In one remarkable scene, he even drops his nice guy act and gives a suspect the third degree!

Playing Live had become impossible for TheBeatles by 1966 & yeah, they got worse & worse @ it. They were also not Improvisers particularly. In the beginning TheBeatles were a super hardworking Club band - but not in Jan. 1969.

	5:20pm David Shortell: Watching the 1968 TV movie “Prescription: Murder” (Peter Falk’s first enactment of Frank Columbo; it would be over 3 years before he reprised the role), I was astounded by the differences between it and the series that followed. The crime-jazz musical score, for one thing! Also, how well kempt the character is in his resplendent suit (his trademark trench coat only appears for a few minutes). In one remarkable scene, he even drops his nice guy act and gives a suspect the third degree!

Playing Live had become impossible for TheBeatles by 1966 & yeah, they got worse & worse @ it. They were also not Improvisers particularly. In the beginning TheBeatles were a super hardworking Club band - but not in Jan. 1969.
