Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19pm
Sam Segal:

@Gary, according to my cursory research, the Ken of Crazy Ken Band is Ken Yokoyama. But I've never heard Crazy Ken Band before. Now I need to hear Crazy Ken Band.

Hey Hey Coela! i like ConCho as an abbreviation

i truly hoped you wouldn't be offended by ConCho
  10:25pm
Constantly Choking:

Haha! It is kind of a drag, the name is actually based in reality, I choke a few times every meal, it’s been like this my entire life. I even got a Dr to put me under and send a camera down my throat to figure out what the problem is….apparently the problem is that I don’t know how to eat properly bc my throat is perfectly fine
  10:27pm
Chris:

So I answered the phone at Haskell’s and the guy asks “do you have any Manischewitz?”

I told him I didn’t have the words but I could find someone who did.

Haha I appreciate the sympathies, it's just a weird part of my brain that never developed, the part that comprehends how to safely eat...I even saw a hypnotherapist about it but that, though a fascinating experience, did not work...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35pm
Sam Segal:

You got it, Doc. You want horse radish on that Tako?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37pm

I used the word “Shunted” - for the first time - and then proceeded later in the same day to here Jordan Peterson use it in a podcast.

#weird!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:07pm
doctorjazz:

I did see them not toil long before he passed-or was a pretty bad concert. Lots of talking, hanging on the old days. Had a fine band, horn section, but no spark. Now, to have seen them in 1975 or so...
  11:09pm
Chris:

Franco - it’s just like the good old days when Coel was the GOAT and I was just learning accounting. To be honest Coel is still the goat and I’ll never stop learning.

*Note the goat capitalizing*
🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:12pm
WR:

on the Masahide Sakuma you can trust the google translation of Woman in the Black Dress. Simple enough even for the hopelessly slow learner, me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:13pm
Sam Segal:

Thanks for that translation, WR! Now I'm imagining the 80s noir flick that song must've accompanied.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:14pm
doctorjazz:

Now, I got to see John Zorn's New Masada this past Sunday at The Village Vanguard.(guitarist Julian Lage, the bassist Jorge Roeder, and the drummer Kenny Wollensen). Now THAT was a fantastic show (I'd Still rate the original Masada a half step above, but it's nit picking at this level). Worth checking out of they're in your neck of the woods.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:15pm

This Merry is pretty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:15pm
Franco Twinkie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:19pm

me too franco :(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:19pm
doctorjazz:

Zorn was playing, and conducting the other 3 at the same time. He was strong (though he did sit down sometimes when others solod-but he's allowed). But his playing was energetic, the band are all virtuosos.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20pm
Franco Twinkie:

I can still find it in chunks Danny. Can I say that I'm addicted?
  11:20pm
Chris:

You pose a good question Franco and I will think on it.

I want to say I’m good. So that’s what I’ll say - but from a higher perspective I’m going to find out how I’m doing.

Dulcimer is a big number in the show Man of La Mancha, about Don Quixote.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:41pm
Franco Twinkie:

Was Don Quixote the inspiration for Henry Bemis?
