I like the talk-box a handful of times every decade, or used on one track of an album, but it would suck if it was a mainstay. the problem with autotune is it has proliferated the world of popular music to an insane degree. Many things overdone become obnoxious. I just wish it didn't turn people against it 100%.. Black Moth Super Rainbow could not exist without it, and I love that band. It is their identity. Although, many people judge it by the songs they hear that need it because no one can sing or create much in said act. Sad.

	10:43pm coelacanth∅: Pumpy i mostly agree. the talkbox has never been abused like autotune though. and i think -yes it's a gimmick and should be used sparingly; OR it's used when people really can't hit the notes. okay. but it's also often, maybe mostly used on people who CAN sing, at least adequately ...and adequately should be good enough, if it's sung with feeling; but the labels and dumbass producers want to polish every sound until it's "flawless" - which makes it highly flawed. ...and dehumanized.

I like the talk-box a handful of times every decade, or used on one track of an album, but it would suck if it was a mainstay. the problem with autotune is it has proliferated the world of popular music to an insane degree. Many things overdone become obnoxious. I just wish it didn't turn people against it 100%.. Black Moth Super Rainbow could not exist without it, and I love that band. It is their identity. Although, many people judge it by the songs they hear that need it because no one can sing or create much in said act. Sad.
