Without Ron Wood, they wouldn't have gotten to the "Miss You"/"Start Me Up"/huge tour era, and without Charlie and Darryl Jones, those post-1989 megatours would have just been embarrassing. Minority opinion, but they were on an upward trajectory from 1995-2003.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58pm

Majesties isn't a 'Concept Album' per se. Who cares? It is certainly Creative. & it expresses something about Psychedelia only the Stones could have transmitted - a certain Paganism.

No time for people who don't recognize the Greatness of Charlie or Ringo.

@David Shortell:"Indeed. I've long argued that half of that maligned LP's 10 tracks are good.
I.e., "The Lantern", "2000 Man", "Citadel", "She's a Rainbow", "2000 Light Years From Home"

Shows u how little I know of rock critix opinions---I didnt even realize those cuts from Satanic were maligned!??!? DAMN that LP is brill from start to finish. So for real ?---some dumb critics shat allover that lp?? DIDNT know that

Curious about the inspiration for "Miss Amanda Jones", I found this article: www.punkglobe.com...

I also see that the song is referenced in a John Hughes movie I've never seen, in which Lea Thompson plays a character with that name.

Amanda Jones such a blatant diss of Brian. Just wow. I mean - not that they were wrong, but man...

@Mike Sin-Thank u for saying that! U had to see me + da Vikkbabe discussing back + forth what songs to play bc OF COURSE we looked at choons that were played on Whats Happening's (HEARD ON TUES nites 9-10pm on RnS stream 😸)
awesome Watts+Everlys trib ---but then I had to tell her what RS/Everlys choons I played ahead of the show!
Fortunately both bands have millions of awesome jams😽

But u guys MUST stay chooned for Vikki Vadden's Fringe Factory at 8pm bc I KNOW for a fact she has incredible tuneage for u guys!

David Shortell - yeah great link !! I always had the vague notion Amanda Lear herself was transgender or something - she was often mentioned in relation to it. Which only recently really is becoming a more generally 'normalized' thing of course.
