Good morning everyone!

WR:

14th of August already. The days fly past. And I would be tempted to sleep late (no work today) except for my enthusiasm for this program.

Jan Turkenburg:

:-) Hi WR!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:03am
WR:

had forgotten that Morton made piano rolls.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12am
WR:

Bizarre, someone has put a selection of Morton's piano rolls on bandcamp, the bandcamp page gives no hint of any other releases.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14am
Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, it's hard to find any info on these rolls. This is just one of the Cees van Breda-archives.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:15am
Jan Turkenburg:

I also have a large folder with anonymous piano roll recordings. I will throw one in the mix every now and then.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17am
Jan Turkenburg:

another one that was hard to find any info on. Couldn't find a year and also The Boogie Woogie Trio seems to have had changing members all the time.

Philippe bastille:

Good morning

Jan Turkenburg:

And this 1915 rag... I would assume the recording is from 1915, but I couldn't find any confirmation of that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20am
Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Philippe bastille!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43am
WR:

phew, i went looking for an series of piano roll reissues that i remembered from Biograph Records in the 70s and ended up in a New Orleans music rabbit hole.

There is a recent Morton rolls on Nonesuch records.

And coming out of the discogs / bandcamp rabbit hole to say this episode has a nice variety of early period piano.
