The extra-strong ones with a thick dusting of ammonia salts were his total fave; Pingvin made "witches scream" "broomsticks" of gummy-textured stuff with thick huge crystals of the stuff on it. The taste is what I suppose the sludge in the ash trays from an abandoned bowling alley somewhere in a strip mall in the Midwest would taste like.

	10:51am Threemoons: I WANT to try surstomming. I have had harkaal in Iceland--both the red and white cuts--and it was NOT as horrible as reported. The white part--fat mostly--was actually kind of good. The red part--belly meat--was so decayed that it dripped off of the toothpicks it was served with. Also not bad actually.

	11:00am Threemoons: @E Moose Turd Pie was an actual large candy patty for sale at a small candy shop in Ithaca, NY when I went to Cornell back in the day. It was about the size of a hockey puck cut in half the wide way, and it was chocolate studded with nuts and assorted dried fruits. Very tasty actually!

The taste is what I suppose the sludge in the ash trays from an abandoned bowling alley somewhere in a strip mall in the Midwest would taste like.
