Ivan from Woodbridge:

1977 World Series, Howard Cosell announcing the game at Yankee Stadium and reporting news of fires in the area. Part of a whole bunch of wacky stuff going on in the city that year.

Hullo !
...Something about Sunday mornings has had me waking up slowly, strange & distracted - & away from Comments... But ! Listening & appreciating all the more for this state perhaps...

@ Pablexa™: going to say Crepe without googling English pancakes(just going to assume they're the pancakes I know as American/Canadian). crepes as in the french (or belgian if you prefer) ones. they are also at risk to fall to the floor when you flip them (which is why I stopped flexing like Chefs on tv™️ and just do it quietly with my ustensils , 1mm close to the pan :D :D )

update: something did burn :D can't help it, you people are sooo attachants, my eyes leave the chat board kicking and screaming

Muhammad Ali!! Ali Stood for the truth & still does! History is kind to Ali… The Vietnam war (1954-1975) is profoundly immoral and unjust

@Avril I know a Belgian guy who’s always pointing out things to me that people think are French but are actually Belgian. (French fries and Jacques Brel)

Are you familiar with Ali’s views on racial issues?

Check out the Dick Cavitt interviews with Ali. He let Ali speak honestly, and powerfully, of course, as he always did

Jacques Brel .... <sigh>
I almost retorted, as a reflex: Jacques Brel *IS* belge! :D
but actually I heard him slag off being from there so often I don't think he cared much for neither ! (I empathize with that guy's point though, I have always thought of him as French my whole childhood, only to understand later he *technically* was not)

Also that thing about people liking to reclaim them successful artists (once they make it) etc.
