Good morning/afternoon everyone! Taking off in a few minutes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59am
MHLee:

goedemorgen
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59am
Jan Turkenburg:

Goedemorgen, MHLee!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00am
MHLee:

currently at my father's playing with his large cats
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01am
Jan Turkenburg:

You don't mean large like in 'tigers' I assume?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:03am
MHLee:

No, but half-maine coons.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:04am
Jan Turkenburg:

Ah, had to google, they are beautifull. I had one, when I lived in Antwerp in the 1980s
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06am
MHLee:

One of them has just started squeaking for lack of a better word... the larger one makes sounds that are notentirely cattish
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06am
MHLee:

Stumbling is great little dance number from before the charleston
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07am
Jan Turkenburg:

Mine looked a bit like this: preview.redd.it...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:08am
MHLee:

That what larger cat looks like... maybe a tad redder
  Swag For Life Member 8:08am
WR:

Hello Jan and MHLee and other streamers of the moment. Have never heard of half-maine coons.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:09am
Jan Turkenburg:

Hi WR!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:09am
MHLee:

Hi WR
Well their mother was a tabby and but they still look like maine coons
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12am
MHLee:

Look at that smile on Jack
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13am
Jan Turkenburg:

:-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:15am
Jan Turkenburg:

I just picked a cat encyclopedia that I got as a gift recently, from the shelf. I'm reading that 'coon' is derived from 'raccoon'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17am
MHLee:

Doesn't surprise me... like coon hounds...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:19am
Jan Turkenburg:

one thought they were a cross, between raccoons and cats, but that's genetically impossible.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20am
MHLee:

That's an interesting etymology
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22am
yerfriendpaul:

Hello Jan! Hello MHLee!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23am
MHLee:

hello paul!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23am
Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Paul!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26am
yerfriendpaul:

I think I need to search for that type of cat. I need to get up to speed! Hang on…
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26am
Jan Turkenburg:

I think mine might have been a Norwegian Forest Cat rather than a Main Coon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27am
MHLee:

a little stockier i think
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28am
Jan Turkenburg:

But I got him and his brother who had shorter hair from a couple in Antwerp and Antwerp is an important harbour, so Main Coon is still a possibility.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29am
MHLee:

Jan, I was looking through the all artists played on this show and I don't see the name Lee Morse. Do you have any of Lee in the archives?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30am
Jan Turkenburg:

searching....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31am
yerfriendpaul:

Beautiful cat! We grew up as a dog family (golden retriever named Harrigan). The closest thing I can relate to here is that my brother lives in Maine ha ha.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34am
MHLee:

That's what the second one did to me too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36am
Jan Turkenburg:

and what about the second day, MHLee? Did it wear off then? (I'm asking because I want to attend a concert tomorrow)
  Swag For Life Member 8:37am
WR:

I think Lee Morse was played on one of the Saturdays but without itemized song listing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37am
yerfriendpaul:

Glad to hear you got your second vaccine but sorry to hear of the side effects. Same thing happened to me. It was a tough day but thankfully it passes. It’s a good feeling to get out into the world again though a little strange too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37am
Jan Turkenburg:

Found two recordings by Lee Morse btw.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38am
MHLee:

@Jan yes I think it did
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41am
MHLee:

Only two recordings...
"Morse's discography includes over 60 singles of both self-composed and cover recordings, most of which were released by Perfect and Columbia Records in the 1920s. Morse continued to release singles with Columbia throughout the 1930s, as well as several releases for Decca Records. By the 1930s, however, Morse's professional career was in decline, as she struggled significantly with alcoholism. She frequently missed live engagements during this period, and her output of recorded material dwindled by the latter half of the decade.

Morse released two singles in 1950 through Decca, before dying unexpectedly in 1954."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44am
yerfriendpaul:

This sounds so good!!
  Swag For Life Member 8:45am
WR:

I had noticeable more reaction after the 2nd shot, nothing major. Both shots I got on a Thursday and took off from work on Friday and Saturday. Just light work on Sunday. If you sleep well tonight and nothing demanding early in the day you should feel ok for going to the concert. Whether you are yet at full immunization is separate consideration.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45am
Jan Turkenburg:

Well, a good motive to search for more of his recordings on the web.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:46am
MHLee:

Her, it's short Lena.. but her version of if you want the rainbow won me over instantly
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47am
Jan Turkenburg:

And by the looks of it I haven't played Morse before, also not on shows without playlists.
  Swag For Life Member 8:50am
WR:

Yes, a torch singer, not a pianist. I was mixing her up with someone else, a female pianist.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52am
MHLee:

An interesting torch singer as well because she crosses pop, jazz, and country
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53am
MHLee:

For a while her band was Lee Morse and Her Bluegrass Boys (no relation to the Bill Monroe style)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54am
Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, before full immunization it will take about two weeks. But I will be cautious anyway, as advised.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57am
yerfriendpaul:

Thanks Jan! Have a great day everyone
  Swag For Life Member 8:57am
WR:

I'm not fully awake yet, but Indian Love Call sounded very much like Somewhere A Voice Is Calling.

Thank you Jan. Laters all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:58am
Jan Turkenburg:

Well, I heard that too WR :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:58am
MHLee:

Bye everyone... I've got to go on air now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59am
Jan Turkenburg:

wait, link please MHLee!
