They took an express straight to the electric church. many times we come across this scene : a brother and his cousin emptying their burdens by walking down the tracks to the garden - you know the garden where adam and eve gave the snake the apple instead of eating it and split ,, thus leaving the garden intact -- you dig? They walk down the track kicking can walking toward their all - yeah he says I don t need to harvest the evil seed when their is a pink shiny ultra blast the train goes and stops for them - where are we going? as they step aboard the train the conductor says " small climb aboard we are going to the electric church ==-- deep in the garden - he looks at his cousin and says "yeah" with his eyes " yeah lets go "

On 7/10/69 Jimi Hendrix appeared on The Tonight Show with guest host Flip Wilson. Jimi played with his old Nashville buddy Billy Cox on bass & Ed Shaughnessy on drums. I was watching & remember that Jimi's amp failed near the beginning of the song & there was a little bass & drums and then a drum solo until they just stopped until the amp problem got fixed. (I just looked this up to make sure my memory is accurate.)

@spacecowboy, we got there early, set up a tent, got near the stage, got treated to Swami Uptown...Satchidananda, I think. Bert Sommer, a long Richie Havens set. It was great. Folk night. Joan Baez, Arlo Guthrie, Tim Hardin. I really don't remember Ravi Shankar. Then it started raining so we withdrew. Woke up and, as I love to say, 400,000 people cut in front of us. We'd been right up front for Friday. On Saturday we were way in the back!
