I don't know much about the mic technique on Hal's drums except from what I see in photos but I'd bet there weren't too many used in the 60s and maybe the same can be said for the 70s? alot of sound was picked up from overheads.

I don't know much about the mic technique on Hal's drums except from what I see in photos but I'd bet there weren't too many used in the 60s and maybe the same can be said for the 70s? alot of sound was picked up from overheads.
