	12:11pm Krys O.: Talking vacuums! My heart. My dad worked at Electrolux for years. When he retired, he would fix or refurbish vacuum cleaners and give them away.

	12:13pm Krys O.: Had an old 50s model that my dad spray painted gold. That thing worked great until the mid-90s. I have a Hoover now with pet attachments and a HEPA filter.

	12:19pm Threemoons: In the meantime, my Excitement for the Day has been taking delivery of a large can of very high quality olive oil. Even though I live within walking distance of a Greek supermarket, my work schedge has been so messed up that I can't seem to get over there before they close, and I also didn't want to have 85% of my carrying capacity taken up by a can of oil....
	12:19pm solo mon: The shark came highly recommended from a friend who has a long hair cat, which is new to me. Fluffy and cute but the hair is like another level of debris I have never encountered.

	12:19pm Threemoons: I need one with one of those long extender things to vacuum the tops of things/under things.
	12:19pm Otis: You can never (I can never too) have too much Olive Oil.
	12:20pm Andres: I am told a Lilly Brush is excellent for dealing with pet hair. Fellow cat and dog owners, I feel your pain.

	12:22pm Threemoons: @Otis I re-discovered the joy of oil-poaching veggies recently and used up the last of a can of very good Moroccan stuff. Poached raw green almonds and fresh favas with garlic; poured mix over a raw blend of onion, mint, and some other veggies. Super amazing on the brown rice/black lentil combo that I wanted to finish up.
	12:23pm Threemoons: So what DO you all like for a vacuum cleaner? Me=1BR; no issue with finding outlets so would prefer wired not wireless as wireless ones tend to suck (or not; you get my point).
	12:23pm Krys O.: Electrolux is expensive. Not sure where they're made now. The factory used to be in Connecticut. Hoover is reliable. Never had a Shark. Bought a basic Oreck for my mom and it seemed decent.

	12:24pm Threemoons: My Mom had an ANCIENT turquoise Electorlux canister vac. Again, she had that from before she was married and the motor only gave out a few years ago. Sigh.

	12:29pm solo mon: I prefer bagless, upright and not wireless. I have not tried the sharks yet but hated the dyson we got a few years ago and the long hair from née kitty finally murdered it dead last month. I’ve been vacuuming the house w a shop vac for tha last few weeks. So the bar is low I will be happy if it does anything
	12:29pm Otis: I have a working/so-so black and decker hand vac and an upright. Does the job. All hardwood here so just use it on rugs.

Poached raw green almonds and fresh favas with garlic; poured mix over a raw blend of onion, mint, and some other veggies. Super amazing on the brown rice/black lentil combo that I wanted to finish up.
