	2:05am coelacanth∅: i was a bit of an outcast but somehow on the fringes of acceptable. boys with long hair were rare in my town and mine was to my shoulders by 6th grade. got a lot of shit for it. in the 10th grade i accumulated some other weirdos who then grew their hair long too. then i got into punk and then they did and 2 of them buzzed their heads but i refused to conform. i never wanted to make it a costume. no spikes, no black leather. nothing i had to go buy. just an actual (thick chain) dog collar from a family dog that died, safety pins where the buttons came off my shirts, combat boots.

	2:39am coelacanth∅: i sat outside a cafe last year sometime and saw a girl, maybe 15? go up to the line for coffee. only the owner was working and it was all structured for minimum contact and took twice as long so it was slow and she stood there for a while and i swear it looked like she could barely hold back tears. not making assumptions but it was a beautiful day and a beautiful girl wouldn't usually be seen out in public almost crying if it were problems at home or whatever.

	2:05am coelacanth∅: i was a bit of an outcast but somehow on the fringes of acceptable. boys with long hair were rare in my town and mine was to my shoulders by 6th grade. got a lot of shit for it. in the 10th grade i accumulated some other weirdos who then grew their hair long too. then i got into punk and then they did and 2 of them buzzed their heads but i refused to conform. i never wanted to make it a costume. no spikes, no black leather. nothing i had to go buy. just an actual (thick chain) dog collar from a family dog that died, safety pins where the buttons came off my shirts, combat boots.

	2:39am coelacanth∅: i sat outside a cafe last year sometime and saw a girl, maybe 15? go up to the line for coffee. only the owner was working and it was all structured for minimum contact and took twice as long so it was slow and she stood there for a while and i swear it looked like she could barely hold back tears. not making assumptions but it was a beautiful day and a beautiful girl wouldn't usually be seen out in public almost crying if it were problems at home or whatever.

	2:52am coelacanth∅: when i was really little the vietnam war was still on and the way my mind interpreted the protests and such was that there were 2 factions of people: one thought living at peace was the way of life we should choose; the other thought waging war constantly and indefinitely was the way. it hadn't occurred to me that this was a particular and temporary act of war, with times of peace at either end of it.
