Hey Joe and Montes. Allow me to say something random to general indifference. Discovered the joys of the WFMU playlist search function recently and discovered that (Jersey band) Cymbals Eat Guitars had only ever been played once in the whole history of WFMU. And that was an Elliott Smith cover. Why no love? I thought they were great. But maybe I was the only one. Anyway great opening set!

FYI-Michael Lindsey-Hogg is not Orson Welles' son. "...Lindsay-Hogg initiated a DNA test, which proved inconclusive. In his 2011 autobiography Lindsay-Hogg reported that his questions were resolved by his mother's close friend Gloria Vanderbilt, who wrote that Fitzgerald had told her that Welles was his father.[3]:265–267 A 2015 Welles biography by Patrick McGilligan, however, argues that Welles could not be the father: Fitzgerald left the U.S. for Ireland in May 1939, and was pregnant at the time she returned in late October, while Welles did not travel overseas during that period.[6]"

Running late from work one night in 2013, I missed Original Sins frontman Brother J.T. when he opened for "The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger" at the Saint. Flattered that I went to see him and not Sean Lennon's group, he gave me a CD in sympathy. Then I dashed to the Brighton Bar to see Platinum Load, fronted by Swingin' Neckbreaker Tom Jorgensen, which I also missed. It just wasn't my night.

"Forever Changes" is definitely one LP that has benefitted from "modern technology," as it were. I had a couple of copies of the original tan Elektra LPs from the '60s, and they both sounded rather dull.
