This is where all of culture and all of time are collapsed into one seductive portal and viewed through the panoramic lens of the exotic. Come and embark on an armchair-travel virtual-voyage to the heart of timeless darkness and beyond; embrace the numinous monolith of the exotic immensity. Let us find that place where hybridization meets its destiny as pure fantasy. Let us become observers observing those others who are ourselves. You wear your mask and I'll wear mine.

I mean, they feel like an planned/organic part of a similarly experimental sesh.
Avatar 7:46pm
Flash Strap:

it definitely fits into the general feel of Can's Damo-era method – oddly it ends up sounding more like Tago Mago than anything from the Landed era. I find myself wishing they pursued this direction, but perhaps it's ultimately too similar to what came before

& "Unfinished" as it appears on Landed is really a kind of shimmering illusory mirage – i know it by heart and yet it's still incredibly elusive – here we can hear it 1. unpolished and less edited-down, sounding more like a raw can sesh and 2. overdubbed with insane raw howling until it's more like Yoko's Mindtrain. i feel like i'm in an alternate reality when i listen to this

@Flash: Some of it's a bit '60s-70s retro-UK-bleepy-bloopy for my tastes, but that's me.

The Focus Group is my favorite of the Ghost Box artists, though.

yeah i like all the focus group stuff i've heard, sounds "authentic" in its aims & executions, rather than some more twee reenactment you'll find there at its worst... but there's some other stuff that's intrigued me greatly
