He took off before I could get a better look. (And they never stick around while you open up the guidebook). Looked closest to a black throated sparrow, but since we don't live in AZ I have my doubts.

We have had a lost bird or two show up (the white winged dove from TX is probably the most lost...), so maybe it is from elsewhere. YB: if only it sang. I swear I could hear it say "Nya nya nya nya nya" and make that tongue spitting noise at flew off.

Went in a totally different direction; after years of a short spike cut I am now sporting a Liza Minelli layered bob with a deep blue black set of highlights and rinse....
