I saw most of the episodes when they were first broadcast in the US. Fundamental in my development, I think.

The first thing I did in shutdown was watch through the entirety of Secret Agent / Danger Man for the first time, right into a rewatch of The Prisoner. It was incredibly rewarding!! Like watching The Wizard of Oz for the first time. It lead me to understand a lot more of the subtleties and strangeness of The Village than I ever did before, now seeing what it was subverting.

When I was in highschool, I had a Prisoner outfit I'd wear to school. Khaki pants, dark blue turtleneck, keds, black jacket with white piping, and even a pennyfarthing pin I got at a fleamarket. Nobody at my school got it.

EXCEPT my Russian teacher. He also taught German. It all makes sense now.

I'm honestly pretty sure that's the only reason I passed Russian class. I was AWFUL at it.
