Good Morning Bob + fellow listeners/contributors.
Hey, free form radio ain’t free. Actually, it is on WFMU, but we need to keep it alive. Get a cool T shirt. The only downside is you might get mistaken for some hipster from Williamsburg.
Doc Rock, are you out there?

Hello Bob 'n Stan.

Am I right in remembering that on the Wow double album the last track on side 1 was played at 78rpm. Lou Waxman, oh the memory fades.

It wasn't THAT many years ago Mr. Brainen was on Wednesday afternoon, it was just up to the mid-1990s. That's like just yesterday in WFMU terms.

Remember -Ken read the demographic results of the listener survey. We have a lot of long time listeners.

A wag could say they don't know of any other stations where the personalities have so much EGO as to archive 20 years' worth and keep it streamable on demand! ;-)
  9:46am
Listener Robert:

A cynic could say that no other station squeezes the RIAA license so hard as to have listeners be able to search and listen to 20 years of selections!

Good thing I'm not a cynic or a wag.

  10:27am
Listener Robert:

1996 or maybe 1997 I asked my friend's 8-9 year old son if he'd like to lower his musical taste, and we listened to Irwin's Incorrect Music segment. That was followed immediately by the opening theme here, and he laughed when he heard the xylophone, thinking that to be a continuation of the funny stuff. Shows what the wrong lead-in or warmup act can do to your audience.

@WaffleMix: I know, how perfect would that be. Although I'm not certain if Bob can do that himself, it might be that it has to be done from who's ever running the board. And if Bob isn't all that particularly interested in having it, it might help if more people get on the bandwagon and bug Bob for it.
