	3:21pm Listener Robert: The "tote board" is very good news. I'm assuming (someone can correct me if I'm wrong) that the "rollbacks" that occurred in the previous 2-3 spring marathons were corrections to double counting of pledges stemming from the volunteer phone room operation, and so since there's only limited phone room operation this year, rollbacks will probably not occur, meaning the tote board we see is accurate, albeit running a little behind, so on average at any given time there's a slight UNDERcount. At the rate incoming pledges have been reported so far, Auricle is in that enviable situation Maximum Leader Ken has occasionally mentioned in the past, whereby they might wind up with EXTRA that could be spent on projects. I've been joking in these comments about using it to purchase WSHU and/or WFUV, but possibly Ken can inform us of some serious things that could get done with a surplus.

	3:28pm Listener Robert: Thanks, Dave. Ken has explained that there had been miscalculations having to do with accounting for SFL, but that that problem has been surmounted. Some "rain makers" on the schedule have yet to come up (I'm thinking of Yo La Tengo), but even a conservative projection that doesn't take that into account says this marathon will be looking at a stretch goal like last October's.

	3:45pm Smog on the Tyne: I always appreciated and enjoyed WFMU ever since I heard it mentioned by BBC DJ Stuart Maconie years ago but these Covid times have made it a real lifeline to all that’s good about life and has really helped keep me afloat. The Stooges and the circle's lunkhead shenanigans were pretty much the same bonehead shenanigans me and my friends did 20-25 years later.

This was extremely distressing to the owner, who ended up begging the audience to order something, anything!

	3:21pm Listener Robert: The "tote board" is very good news. I'm assuming (someone can correct me if I'm wrong) that the "rollbacks" that occurred in the previous 2-3 spring marathons were corrections to double counting of pledges stemming from the volunteer phone room operation, and so since there's only limited phone room operation this year, rollbacks will probably not occur, meaning the tote board we see is accurate, albeit running a little behind, so on average at any given time there's a slight UNDERcount. At the rate incoming pledges have been reported so far, Auricle is in that enviable situation Maximum Leader Ken has occasionally mentioned in the past, whereby they might wind up with EXTRA that could be spent on projects. I've been joking in these comments about using it to purchase WSHU and/or WFUV, but possibly Ken can inform us of some serious things that could get done with a surplus.

Some "rain makers" on the schedule have yet to come up (I'm thinking of Yo La Tengo), but even a conservative projection that doesn't take that into account says this marathon will be looking at a stretch goal like last October's.
