Correct me if I'm wrong, Stork, but I think this is only your second time back on the air for the WFMU marathon in TWENTY YEARS. Surely you hold the land-speed record for time off between marathon shows.

That is, folks, what they call in the business ANOTHER REASON TO PLEDGE!!!

Ike:

IIRC, originally it was the House of Tomorrow pledge level, from the days when FMU needed to leave the desolate and abandoned campus of Upsala College and get a new house elsewhere. Then after arriving in JC it naturally became House of Today, which evolved to Mouse of Today as the move receded into the past and more ppl started listening online. Do I have that right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:15pm

I have two more new shows "bubbling under" as Bunny Wailer might have said.

I was looking at the Debussy photograph above. He appears to be holding what might be a camera. He died in 1918. I didn't know personal cameras were
already available in those years. Maybe it's something else, binoculars?
  2:42pm
rw:

Huh. Don't know whether that object is a camera or not, but according to Wikipedia, George Eastman created an inexpensive consumer camera in 1888. Which reminds me that the name Kodak came from the sound the shutter made when you took a photo. Ko-dak!

TDK, Now that I think of it, I guess there's also the clue that the photo of Debussy IS a photo!! And it looks fairly casual, like it was taken without a tripod which means handheld cameras were likely available at that time.
