	3:32pm David in London: Rich, totally agree. On the live version of this from Earls Court in ‘75, JPJ does an organ solo for about 20 minutes and it’s absolutely immense.

	3:32pm mariano: Adolescence is a tough time, but some of the best moments in that stretch of time involved being baked out of my mind listening to "Houses" and watching "Song Remains the Same" at a friend's house on a Saturday afternoon. JPJ made an amazing album with Diamanda Galas in '94.

He got it from a friend of his parent's who had a bunch of 60s art magazines they were getting rid of. They had no clue. This is like 1993. My friend and I lost touch for a while and about 10 years ago I asked him if he still had it. He said he didn't. I didn't have the heart to ask what happened.

	5:34pm WM: The people who told Timothy Leary to shut up were essentially correct. Leary was a self-centered, self-promoting egotist who spoiled legitimate research into psychedelic drugs for several decades. The great irony is that the recent resurgence of psychedelic research (micro dosing, etc.) has nothing to do with Leary. Maybe I'm being too harsh - the great moral panic over LSD probably would have happened with or without Leary. Still... I think on the whole he did more harm than good.

He got it from a friend of his parent's who had a bunch of 60s art magazines they were getting rid of. They had no clue. This is like 1993. The great irony is that the recent resurgence of psychedelic research (micro dosing, etc.) has nothing to do with Leary. Maybe I'm being too harsh - the great moral panic over LSD probably would have happened with or without Leary. Still... I think on the whole he did more harm than good.
