I tried to explain that written language and vernacular are different and the students (my son included) should learn Standard Written English and practice speaking with vernacular ... Deaf Ears ... I am not a stuffed shirthead .. I speak Brooklyn but I can write a decent letter if so required.. Spain has a National curriculum - the use CAMBRIDGE texts - idiots - nothing to do with Cambridge U (not that that matters either)- just a Public Domain Name = Webster's Dictionary, etc....

Some Germans I knew when I was in Berlin would misconjugate and say things like "I didn't knew" (obviously translating literally from German). So I had to correct them. And when their friends tried to prevent me from performing my duty, I corrected them as well.

	10:37am morphe': Toenails... rue story .. when Simon's ma was pregnant with Lovely Simon and turned into hormonal monsters ... she made me so nervious: I could not eat, my body rattled incontrollable as her voice rose and the 2nd toe (next to the big toe) on each foot spontaneously lost their nails ... they have never quite recovered .. hurt/ache now in the cold wet Madrid snow ... always think it is/will be diabities or gangrene ... That is a true story ... I can at time engage in goofy hyperbole ... but that is true.... they are aching now(since 9 years) as I contemplate visiting the supermarket to see if any food has mades its way into snow bound Madrid .. not taking any 45s to the street ... just a club to ward off the hoarder zombies..

The entire brand was a giant conceit in 20/20 hindsight--faux "European" style cheeses and meat so over-processed that it could survive a year at room temperature--paired with sticky-oversweet fudges and chocolates, all delivered in tiered beribboned stacks of gilded boxes. Still, the contents delighted my kindergarten-aged self back then, and I still remember the giant mouse dressed in Xmas reds handing out cheese samples outside of the shop, as we waded through the holiday shoppers past the Orange Julius place. We may or may not have stopped at Friendly's on the way home.

Some Germans I knew when I was in Berlin would misconjugate and say things like "I didn't knew" (obviously translating literally from German). So I had to correct them. And when their friends tried to prevent me from performing my duty, I corrected them as well.

The entire brand was a giant conceit in 20/20 hindsight--faux "European" style cheeses and meat so over-processed that it could survive a year at room temperature--paired with sticky-oversweet fudges and chocolates, all delivered in tiered beribboned stacks of gilded boxes. Still, the contents delighted my kindergarten-aged self back then, and I still remember the giant mouse dressed in Xmas reds handing out cheese samples outside of the shop, as we waded through the holiday shoppers past the Orange Julius place. We may or may not have stopped at Friendly's on the way home.
