Ooh, Meghan on the air is a rare treat! Will snag her show as an archive this week for sure.

Heard Jeff Sarge name-checked yesterday during WKCR's morning reggae show, for a gig he was DJing at. Was a treat to hear the legend mentioned. Also once heard his closing theme on that same Saturday show and was like, did I pass out for 20 hours and wake up tomorrow?!

ah, i guess that's why it resurfaced. i also saw an interview with Michael McDonald where he said the first time he ever saw it was when he was on the road and got stoned with one of the other Doobie Brothers and then went back to his hotel room where he had left the tv on and that skit was playing on the tv when he went into his room. he said he thought he was losing his mind!

My first car was a Datsun 1200 (Nissan thought that sounded more "American" at the time). It had a tiny engine (barely made it up steep hills), weighed maybe 100 lbs, was top heavy, badly balanced. I was on the FDR drive one rainy day with my dad and a friend, not going fast, but started to skid when the road curved, and the car flipped on it's roof. The 3 of us climbed out the window, pushed it upright, and I drove it to a garage (had to squat a bit, the roof was a foot lower than it had been).
